Debra has over twenty five years of experience helping children develop their communication skills. She has worked with children with special needs in elementary schools, and has devoted the majority of her time in practice to working with toddlers and young children in early intervention programs. Debra has certification as an Autism Navigator Early Intervention parent coach, helping caregivers develop their child’s communication skills in their natural environment. She has worked on diagnostic teams, and is a certified administrator of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale-2, the gold standard of autism assessments. In addition, Debra is trained in many evidence-based protocols addressing a range of pediatric communication disorders including motor-speech, and sensory- based feeding issues.
She is credentialed by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, as well as licensed as a Georgia speech-language pathologist, and by the Georgia Department of Education as a speech therapist.
