Ilana Danneman, PT
Ilana, aka, the Idea Therapist, has been a physical therapist since 1986. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1986 with a BS in Physical Therapy. During her early career years, she worked in a variety of facilities including Crawford Long Hospital (now Emory Hospital) and Shepherd Spinal Center (now Shepherd Center). While raising children she expanded her career and worked as a writer, catalog director, and product developer for two special needs product companies while educating parents, teachers and other therapists from home. Ilana has a passion for combining play, movement, and education into her practice. She enjoys biomechanics and teaching children (and their parents:) how to move. She brings fun and play into her practice using unique toys and sensory-motor tools. And, you might just find her on a swing herself. She loves to hike, write (is a published author and blogger) and spend time with her family. She is grateful to Atlanta Children’s Therapy Associates and all that they do for the community. “Every Individual Has the Right To Function at Their Highest Potential.”
