Lauren Alison, MS, OTR/L
Lauren received her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services from Auburn University. She received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Lauren has experience working with children aged birth to twenty-one both their homes and in the clinic setting. Lauren has been volunteering with an organization that provides weekend retreats and summer camps for teenagers and adults with disabilities for over 14 years. Lauren has over six years of experience working with children of a variety of ages and diagnoses including sensory processing, Autism, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, chromosomal abnormalities and Down Syndrome. Lauren is passionate about helping children to develop confidence in themselves and a dedicated to providing a sense of safety in order to assist them in reaching their highest level of independence. She is interested in and passionate about working with children who may have experienced varying levels of trauma, helping to promote nervous system regulation. Lauren’s additional skills include in-depth knowledge of sensory integration, advanced training in reflex integration, neural connectivity and rhythmic movement. Lauren enjoys hiking, yoga and spending time with her two rescue Boston Terriers.
