Cynthia A. Burroway, MSPT
Cynthia is a highly experienced physical therapist with more than four decades of practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Delaware and went on to receive her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. Throughout her career, she has pursued extensive postgraduate training with a strong focus on pediatrics.
Cynthia is deeply passionate about improving the lives of children with special needs and supporting their families every step of the way. Her diverse clinical background spans multiple physical therapy settings, ultimately leading her to found Atlanta Children’s Therapy Associates in 1998.
In addition to her clinical work, Cynthia has been an advocate for children with special needs, actively lobbying the state government to help secure passage of Georgia’s SB10 Special Needs Voucher legislation.
Outside of her professional life, Cynthia enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, and gardening. She is married to her business partner and fellow physical therapist, Bill Burroway. Together, they have three sons and two golden retrievers, Harper and Charlie.
